Annual Christmas Party Debrief

Well the actual debrief took place at Denny's yesterday morning, this is more of a recap that's appropriate for public viewing and won't get me blacklisted from any further social functions.

We opted for a dinner party this year. It went shockingly well. But then again, you serve enough booze, everything goes well. Thankfully one of my friends did remind me to take a few pictures before the first course was served.

Displaying Holiday Cards

We've received the first couple holiday cards, and now I need to decide how I'll display them this year. This idea I like, if only I had a large frame...

Budget Christmas Art

This year I ramped up my budget Christmas art, but still kept it cheap and easy! I began by downloading some graphics from here, four varieties of Christmas trees, and then...and this is where it gets tricky...I ordered 8x10 prints of the graphics from Wal-Mart. That's it. Not tricky at all. Even PB could do it, except we'd probably have pictures of teddy bears dressed up like Santa. PB loves tacky Christmas stuff. Total cost for 4 prints...under $10.

Still Love Them

They're everywhere now, but I spotted them back in May.

I love the new Penguin Classics Clothbound Series. Chapters has reduced the price of them to $14.99 and Amazon has them for $13.60. I'd love the whole series, but I'd settle for a few titles that I shamefully, despite my obsessive reading I still have not read. How have I made it this far in life without reading Jane Eyre or Great Expectations? Or Little Women?? I blame first year university English class, where instead of being able to enjoy Jane Austin, we were forced to analyse, and write essays.

I Suck as a Wife

Some husbands have wives that not only make gourmet sandwiches for them for their lunch, but also cut them into heart shapes.
And some husbands have wives that give them the gears on a public blog.
